As we shelter in place and each day has the potential of melding into the next in a Groundhog Day sort of way, I thought I would share how the fashion industry is pivoting its focus and production to Covid-19 relief. I am truly inspired by the response to this crisis and hope you will be encouraged as you glance at the list below.

Isaia is using its factory to produce 20,000 masks and 20,000 gowns each week for those in need.
Wilkes Bashford is donating 20% of all sales to Meals On Wheels in the Bay Area community.
Gucci is making and donating 1.1 million masks and 55,000 pairs of medical overalls.
The LVMH conglomerate, which includes Loro Piana, is donating 40 million masks to France and has converted its fragrance operations to manufacture hand sanitizer.
La Perla donated 10,000 masks in Italy.
Prada is financing the building of ICU’s in three new hospitals in Milan.
Nordstrom will have members of its alteration department in CA, WA, OR and TX create 1 million masks.
Net-a-Porter donated its London premier delivery fleet to deliver food and medicine to the elderly.
Versace donated 200,000€ to a hospital in Milan.
Khaite donated $10,000 to the nonprofit Baby2Baby and will continue to donate 10% of online sales to Baby2Baby (which is an organization providing necessities to children in poverty).
Neiman Marcus is working with Joann's to produce masks, gowns and scrubs.
linda jeanne has always and will always donate 10% or more of all earnings to individuals, businesses, and community centers in need and living on the margins.
